How the hourly model works
You pay for the crew's time from the start of loading to the end of unloading, travel between the two included, at the one flat rate for your crew size. That is the entire model. There is no call-out fee, no fuel levy, no weekend price, no second rate card for people who did not read this page.
How we size the crew, honestly
The crew tier is the only real pricing decision, so we make it out loud, with you, on the callback:
- The two-mover crew suits most units and townhouses. If you are in a tower, the lift sets the rhythm and extra movers would mostly wait for it, so paying for them helps nobody.
- The three-mover crew is the honest default for a furnished two or three bedroom house. One loads the truck properly while two keep the flow of furniture coming.
- The four-mover, two-truck crew earns its rate on big homes because one run beats two. A four-bedder split across two trips of a single truck usually costs more hours than the bigger crew doing it once.
And the promise that makes the word best mean something: if the smaller crew is enough, we say so, even though it books us for less. Right-sized moves finish well, and finished-well is the entire business model.
What stretches hours, named up front
Nobody can tell you your exact total sight-unseen, and you should be suspicious of anyone who tries. What we can do is name the things that genuinely stretch a move, so your estimate is realistic before the truck arrives:
- The garage and the shed. The most underestimated rooms in the Illawarra. Half-sorted garages routinely add an hour.
- Packing still in progress. A fully boxed house loads in a rhythm; a half-packed one loads in apologies. Pack, or book packing hands.
- Access. Stairs instead of a lift, a truck that cannot get close, a steep estate driveway. Tell us and we plan for it; surprise us and the clock does.
- The unmentioned piano. Or the pool table, the safe, the fish tank. Big singles need the right hands and sometimes the right gear, all fine when we know.
Why no instant total on this site: any tool that promises a fixed dollar total without seeing your access, your garage and your packing is guessing, and you would pay for the guess one way or the other. We publish the real rates and estimate hours with you honestly instead.

- Bed disassembly and reassembly, fridge and washer disconnect and reconnect to existing fittings.
- Trolleys, straps, floor and lift protection.
- A crew that turns up when it said it would and calls if anything changes.
